The marker of the Philippine Historical Committee, placed in 1939, reads: “This town dates from 1578. Built in 1578, the first church was burned in 1610. The second church, constructed in 1611 was destroyed by a typhoon. The third church was erected between 1630 and 1656. The present church, completed in 1700, was unroofed by a typhoon in 1875, but repaired in 1878. The belfry was damaged by an earthquake in 1850 but repaired between 1890 and 1894.”
Just like the other posts on churches in the Bicol trip (see Pagbilao and Daraga), this post is made ahead to give possibly helpful information to others who plan a visita iglesia for this April.

my nephew was baptised in your church sometime in the 80s.he is scheduled to be wed in december, and he needs his baptismal cert.from your parish.how long it will take for us to get the certificate and is it possible if the parish will just send the cert.and we will just send the payment thru lbc or smart padala?we are here in manila and all busy working , just cant find time to go in nabua cause of the distance and the cost it will take.thank you very much
